Guru Nanak Food Bank is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community through Seva (selfless service). We provide food assistance, support services, and community outreach programs inspired by Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings of equality, compassion, and humanity.

Food Assistance
You can register online by clicking on the
"Sign Up" button on our website, or you can download the GNFB mobile app and create an account to get started. Once registered, you can log in anytime to manage your profile, book appointments, and access support services easily.
Please bring a government-issued photo ID and proof of address (such as a utility bill or rental agreement). If you are registering on behalf of a family, include identification for each household member.
You'll also need to provide a bank statement for the previous three months for each adult member in your household.
Registered & Verified members can collect food every month based on their assigned pickup schedule.
Appointments
Our appointment system helps manage food distribution efficiently. Once you register, you can book a pickup date and time through your online account or the GNFB mobile app.
You can log in to your GNFB account on our website or mobile app, go to the "Book Food Pickup" section, and select your preferred date and time slot.
If you've just signed up, please allow 48 hours for our team to validate and verify your account before you can book your first appointment.
Once you've had your appointment, your next booking will be available after 28 days, and you'll be able to select any date at least 48 hours in advance.
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled time through your account or by contacting our support team.
If you miss your appointment, you will need to book a new one. Please note that missed appointments may affect your next available booking date.
After each appointment, you'll need to wait 28 days before booking your next one. When scheduling, make sure to select a date that's at least 48 hours ahead.
Donations
You can donate securely online at

or by dropping off non-perishable food items at our donation centers.
Yes. All monetary donations above $5 are eligible for a CRA-approved tax receipt, which will be emailed to you after your donation is processed.
Absolutely. We accept non-perishable food items such as canned goods, rice, lentils, pasta, and baby food. Please check expiry dates before donating.
Volunteering
You can sign up via our Volunteer Form. Volunteers assist with food sorting, packaging, distribution, event organization, and community drives.
No special experience is required-just a desire to help! We'll provide orientation and training as needed.
Yes! We welcome youth volunteers and offer community service hour verification for schools or post-secondary programs.
